Is this canon a piezo printer? I really doubt a thermoprinter will work, but you will see...... I would advise getting one at ebay, they are sold for some 10 to 20 eur. maybe this is also a good source for a old "test pc", i do not know. the old computers are strangely expensive on our ebay so it is better to ask around and get them for free...
