I use UV resin a lot in fly tying. It has the consistency of syrup and if isolated from UV will stay soft forever. I use acetone or M.E.K. and other solvents to wipe it off tools etc.
Problem is that the resin is clear and the UV light tends to scatter within it so traces may not be shart.
It's always worth a try to see how well or not it might work if you have a UV laser.
