What I've found is that most printers can print on copper, except probably HP ones. HP engines seem to print an "outline" of the traces, rather than solid traces. Perhaps changing the high voltage would help, but I haven't tried. There are a lot of inexpensive laser printers that are built like the Pantum, with the printing taking place as the paper moves up the rear of the printer, so I think my technique would probably work with most of them.
