I have wondered if it would be possible to use a laser engraver/cutter
to make printed circuit boards.
The method I am thinking of is not direct removal of the copper. I
know that the desktop lasers do not have the power for that.
Instead I was thinking of a board covered with some kind of resist
material and using the laser to ablate the resist and expose the
copper. The only thing I am not sure of is if the resist could be
removed completely enough to expose the copper to the etchant.
Anything like this been tried.
