They'll work, with genuine HP toner. Some of the remanufactured toners will definitely not work.
Main disadvantage is 300DPI only, and not as dark as some other printers, even on the darkest setting (There is an adjustment dial inside).
Those are old beasts Chuck, didn't think any were still around.
I have a IIID still, mostly because it is too heavy to throw out.
