The pulleys are steel. Surplus and cheap. I had that small Bodine motor and just had to figure out how to belt it up to the drill press. The idlers are angled just enough to account for the difference in diameter between the motor pulley and the press pulley. Went through a few sheets of graph paper figuring that out. I have the original round leather belt glued and working now, but in the photo its using a length of neoprene fish tank air hose which worked well.
