I got my epson stylus 400 printer (i use only for PCBs) in 1995. I've unclogged the head a few times either by putting in a cartridge filled with Nifty cleaner, or pulling out the head and wiping it with a paper towel soaked with nifty, or putting the head in an ultrasonic cleaner. <http://www.cleansupply.com.au/detail.asp?pid=2128&cid=36,73> <http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=YH5408> Other brands of printer have the print head in the cartridge iirc.
