Supposedly, they can actually "print" working transistors (however, slower and larger than the silicone counterparts). This will be an emerging technology, but it isn't quite ready for prime time. In the mean time, without chemical etching, one could still: 1. mechanically etch (milling) 2. wire wrap 3. simply solder the components together (make modern art) ;) 4. use your imagination.... Of course, some of these aren't PCBs.....oh well...
