Then I bridged the + and - five to get 10 and got 800 to 1000 ma. I also only used 1 nail on each end, using more would expose more surface and likely allow more current, and you can also only put the nails in so far to limit. Don't think you need to worry about the resistor, just put your meter on amps and in series so you can see what it's drawing and you'll get the hang of it as you move the nails around. Now I have to make a board to see how much better it etches, it was getting a bit slow on the last one. Alan
