I've heard of people using aquarium heaters.
TIME = TEMP_RISE * VOLUME * 4200 / POWER
Where: TIME is approximate time in seconds to heat. TEMP_RISE is 
  temperature increase in kelvin. POWER is heater wattage, VOLUME 
is solution liters.

You will only get a tired arm holding the heat gun and increase 
your electricity bill.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
