I would agree. Nothing like the old HP printers. I have an old HP LJ3 (which I think is older than the LJ4 by a bit). If the printer is throwing an error code then Google it. Seriously - I did that for the error I was getting and found full instructions to repair the circuit board. In the end though, if you need parts you may be out of luck unless someone has new old stock around. My LJ3 is circa 1985. Still running (fingers crossed).
