It certainly looks like an interesting idea. The slit is 5 mils wide, so it is within the range of what I would call machineable on a budget (i.e. there exist end-mills down to 5 mils for $20-30). The only two problems I see are mounting/aligning the electrode in the head and applying the voltages. The voltages are most likely on the order of 500-1000V (based on my tiny knowledge of microfluidics so I could be wrong). The electrode in the head has to be aligned somewhat close to the center of the slit. This could be a problem because you'll have to design something that holds your electrode and keeps out of the way of the ink. Other than that it looks like a very cool idea. CrazyCasta
