Actually they do make those pins exactly for this purpose.

They are tapered and come connected end to end as a little rod, you
simply break them off one by one.

I do not recall where I saw them.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
