Yeah, my brain was saying reduce the solution (by evaporating off the water) to reach a 40% HCl concentration. I did say I know next to nothing about chemistry! BTW, isn't 40%, 37%, 32%, or 10% all levels of 'concentration'? There must be something else I'm not understanding. You'll be hard pressed finding %40 HCl because vapour pressure is so high that the HCl gas will quickly escape, then slowing down as concentration drops to more a stable %35~%30 (wt).
