I found it in the library of an earlier version. So thanks for letting me know it was someplace. I had a hard time beliveing they didn't have a 555 timer in Eagle! Just checked my copy of 5.6.0 (which as of writing is the latest version) and in the linear library there are a raft of 555s, as the previous poster said, both in DIL-8 & SO-8. All versions of Eagle come with the same libraries, so your installation must be broken if it doesn't have the linear.lbr library with SMD 555 variants... Nick
