I'm not sure about that. The CuCl is just sitting there, waiting for me to drop in a board all year round. It doesn't go bad or require me to mix up a new batch. Maintainance is minimal, and can be done while the board is etching which is efficient use of time. I can still see through my CuCl with a bright light from the other side, but now the tank is positioned inconveniently for that and I lift the board out for final inspection.
