No, the rolls are "soft". Atleast all rolls from the laminators I had a chance to look at. I don't know what particular material the rolls are made off, but they feel like "rubber" or something like this. Obviousely they can take the heat though. I just noticed that most laminators seem to have smaller diameter rolls and the one I'm having most sucess with is useing a bigger diameter (more in the range of 35 to 40mm as oposed to ~30mm).
