Back around Christmas time I bought an HP1022 (1200 dpi) with a full toner cartridge that would print 2000+ sheets. There were much "cheaper" 600 dpi models on the HP WEB page at the time, but they came with 500 sheet toner cartridges. By the time I have printed a couple of reams of paper the "cheaper" printers would cost the same. I use the printer for both general printing and toner transfer. The 1022 does great toner transfer using the Hammermill 16302-0 Business Glossy Paper that has been discussed several times on this group. I have found that I have to be careful about "overcooking" tha paper and ending up with something that is next to impossible to dissolve. YMMV. BTW - Direct from HP turned out to be cheaper than other WEB dealers. With free shipping mine showed up three days after the order was placed.
