First I tried this on 1/16" stock. When that worked I went to the 1/32" piece. What I had been doing is just holding the iron in one place under a much pressure as I could generate for 5 minutes. My board is small enough to fit the area of the iron that has no holed. But I got very inconsistant results that way. I held the TT paper in place with one finger while I tacked it to the copper. Once it was tacked to the copper I "IRONED" it with the tip of the iron for 5 minutes.Buy the time I had dome this for 5 minutes the top of the paper was almost totally black. Then I put it in the water for the 10 minute soaking period. At least this is a starter. Now I need to clean it up before etching. This is a double sided board. I don't expect this one to be useable. Right now this is a learning process. I am a retired EE. I was close to the PCB industry for many years. I laid out PCBs for a living at times. I am using Orcad for the artwork.
