Ok, but what about the displays where a thin plastic foil cable is
somehow attached to the glass? So far i do not know any way to
re-attach them once you ripped off a section by stupid accident.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
