I think I can remember what happened, it was well-publicised at the time. He 
was working on a PCB design with a kosher copy of Eagle and incorporated a 
part that had been created with a pirated copy of the software. His copy of 
Eagle detected this and changed his file so that he couldn't work on it any 
more.
