If you want a real sturdy laminator take an old fuser from a copier and modify it. They make them any width you can find a scrapped copier for, and the older ones are mostly metal. It needs a drive motor and a thermostat circuit added, but then it's great, only one pass needed. The teflon coat can be shot, so if you have none maybe a copier repair tech would give you one where he changed the whole fuser unit. In a laser printer is the same thing, but often smaller. ST
