Homebrew PCBs

I'd definitely suggest going second hand, though it does rather defeat 
the point of getting a new printer.

I've got a HP 5N with a duplex unit, and it's still going strong at a 
page count of 302,000 pages (yes, three hundred thousand).

Best of all I got it free....
