Hi,

Do you happen to know whether anyone uses gEDA and PCB to mill 
circuit boards (that is, isolation routing)?

I've mostly been using Eagle so far, and that's the one feature that 
I really like.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
