Prior to learning that i tried to remove a FeCl stain on a pair of jeans, attempted to do it with by rubbing a chlorine tablet from the pool on it. I got a small ferric chloride stain in a huge bleached spot, and one more pair of "bad" jeans for dirty work.... I am glad i don't need to deal with the bottled stain from hell any more. ST
