Hello Robert, I have adapted my C70 in a similar way. The middle top rollers were removed and also the white plastic rear paper guide. In the front I removed the middle star wheels. By using a 3 mm plexi-glass plate at the backside on top of the power supply (with some holes in it for cooling) to fill up the gap, I get a flat path throught the printer. What kind of material do you use for the "custom bed"? I was thinking about 0.5 mm aluminum, but that may ruin the abrasive roller coating. The next challenge is to reprogram the printer such that it prints one page from a preset reference y-axes position of the moving bed. How do you control the y-movement?
