HI s, I have an HP scanner (SCSI) that I picked up for parts. You're right, it looks like it would make a GOOD light table. I hadn't thought of using it to expose paper! I was able to get a 12" (?) UV tube from a barber supply. They use them as germicidal lamps. "Orchard Supply" or "Home Depot" should have them as grow lamps as well. Lotta good stuff in a scanner! Too bad mine is SCSI; but I intend to see if I can get some of the electronics going before I part it out.
