For many years I've used a Bosch

,which is probably very similar in power/size/weight to the RotorZip 
series mentioned by Mike Young. Metabo, and others make similar short 
length straight (die) grinders.

Prices are about 2 times that of a Dremel kit.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
