Homebrew PCBs

Hi List,

I started my foray into making my own circuit boards by ordering ferric chloride and tinning compound from those nice people at Mega. While I was waiting the contruction of the tank took place from glass and silicon sealer. Happy with the tank I installed some fish-tank blue air stones, filled it with ferric chloride, attached the pump and installed a heater. The ferric chloride promptly disolved the air stones. Any thoughts on what I should have used?
