I thought I would share this with everyone since I have noticed a lot of postings recently about toner transfer problems. I had a problem a while back getting the toner to stick to my circuit board when using my laminator. Out of desperation I preheated my board using a clothes iron. I monitored the temperature with an IR thermometer until it got to the correct temperature. After getting to the desired temperature I passed it through the laminator a few more times. I managed to get a perfect transfer. I have not made anymore boards since then, but what I plan to try the next time I make a board is 1. Pass the board through the laminator a few times to tack the toner to the board. Very useful when doing two sided boards. 2. Put the clothes iron on board to get the temperature up. I do not plan to apply any pressure other than the weight of the board. Monitor temperature with an IR thermometer. 3. Pass the board through the laminator once or twice. I figure at the very least it should save me passes through the laminator and reduce the wear and tear.
