Ah. I take it thought the 250MB tape will still only stream 60MB on the Fairlight though?
Cheers,
Peter :-)

DC600A is a 60 Mb cartridge, with tape designed to hold 60 Mb.
DC6250 is a cartridge which is physically idential to the DC600A, but
carries tape that could hold up to 250 Mb of data.

Basically it is comparable to the difference between a ferro-compact
cassette and a chromium compact cassette. You can record better quality on
a chrome tape, but usually the chrome tape will also work in a ferro
recorder. Both fit the same recorder.

It is quite possible that DC6000 will also work, but I do not have them,
so I cannot tell for sure.

Regards,
Harald.

There is a possibility that the tape not only can store more bits per
inch, but also has a longer length, so maybe you can store 90 or 120 Mb on
it.

It would save you a few pounds, in more ways than one :)

I have not yet checked these tapes, I do have several of them.

Best regards,
Harald.
