to everyone who helped. I'm leaning towards the 1010 as no-one else I know has
encountered the same noise problems.
The
noise problems that my friend encountered wasn't typical soundcard noise but
more computer sounding, as though it were picking up Hard Drive noise or
something. Probably just placed wrong!!!
