cmi2usb: all systems are GO

cmi2usb: all systems are GO

2010-09-03 by tama_rat

Hi All,

Finally, the first units are ready to ship! I just uploaded pics of the shipping box, what you'll find inside, and a stack of the first 10 boxed and ready to go.

Getting the shipping costs for each person will probably be the most complicated next step. If you are one of those lucky first 20, please email me your shipping address.

Also, if you are are one of the first 20 and are no longer interested in buying one of the units, please let me know. There is a waiting list, so someone else would like to buy it.

As of now, about half of the orders are with the optional VDU cable. I did have some extra cables made, so if you didn't want one before but do now, please let me know.

Thanks!

Best,
Joe

Hi Howard,

James is correct, I only made 20 units. I may do another run.

I'm also planning to build an interface for a USB keyboard -- a second board that will connect to the mouse interface board. For those first 20, there would be an upgrade which would be the new board plus a new aluminum front panel for the box.

I'm working on another (unrelated) project right now, so haven't had the cycles to work on the keyboard interface much.

James, I'm glad you like it. I've gotten several bits of positive feedback from users of the first batch, and that's always nice to hear. :-)

Best,
Joe

Hi Howard,

As far as I am aware, Joe made a limited run of 20 units. I have to say that the interface works perfectly. I will probably use an Apple flat panel with my CMI 2X.

Cheers,

James
