I saw a discussion here (a friend did cut / paste the things being written) about my refill Fairlight CMI Legacy for Reason. I can just say that I got approval from Fairlight AU and Fairlight Instruments (Peter Vogel himself) to use the samples.
We recorded all samples ourselves from a Fairlight IIx in mint condition. We recorded everything with all Fairlight filtering disabled for maximum flexibility and the samples sounds much cleaner than that "free fairlight" sound bank on the net. We have also recorded synths like JX8P, DX7, VZ1 and more, some drum machines (Linndrum, 808, 909, 707) to make the library a complete journey into the 80s.
