Fairlight-CMI

Hello everyone.

I know you're all aware of the Jane Child / Fairlight connection, but 
it was news to me, at least, to find "Welcome to the real world" on 
YouTube.  This particular video features many shots that linger on 
her Series III, complete with auxillary keyboard.  It's certainly 
better than "Don't want to fall in love", with its fleeting glimpses 
of pitch bend wheel abuse in grainy, push-processed, black and white.

Oh yes, a very poor song and the video is extremely clichéd.  If I 
had the opportunity to use a Series III regularly I wouldn't care at 
all.

Suppose all the instructive Fairlight videos are already well 
known.

Happy To see some real funky shit being sqeezed out of the cmi..
not just the expirimental crap we hear over and over again...the 
machine is 
extremly flexible and also works great for black music.

we still love your music Jane!
