As WT says, just make your plugin able to read 8" diskette images pulled from the original libraries. They definitely exist, and you can make 'em yourself, too. Happy to answer questions.

One of the things that stopped me making a Fairlight LV2 plugin for
Linux was that the key to it all is the samples - and I don't have
permission to use the samples. Of course, I could ask one of the
founders of Fairlight, I'm sure I've seen them hanging around... ;-)
It's a case of getting around to it, but I'd love to convert clean "disk
image" samples to a couple of other instruments. Again, getting the
appropriate permission is everything!
