Bonjour Peter ! I bet Paris is lovely :) Good to hear from you again :) Ive just managed to fix it : there is a small 1A fuse on the CG3 card : it had blown. I desoldered another similar fuse out of a old commodore circuit board, and hey presto, monitor is working again. Great advice though, and thanks for the reply :) Now the video is working, a can see that the system is for some reason not seeing the CMI 31 cards, or the the sync card. Im pretty sure this will just be the usual case of swapping the card order around and making sure that everything is seated properly. Will let you all know progress :) --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "horiprod" <horizontal_productions@...> wrote: > > Hi Arron. > > You've obviously tried another VGA monitor ??? And checked the 10-way cable from the card to the RGB-01 DAC card ?? The CG3 card should give an output even if there are other CMI issues, however I seen instances when a defective Q209 will cause no video output.. > > Hope this is helpful. > > I'm typing this from a Paris hotel. After the used reseating of cards etc, I eventually manged to the CMI to Boot, but shortly afterwards the display went off, having previously worked OK for 10 minutes. I have the VGA card replacement. > > > > Is there anything that could stop the CMI displaying any vga signal at all due to interference from some other system part, or is it most likely the the card or daughterboard have just blown ? > > > > Any one with any ideas on anything i can try ? > > > > Cheers, > > > > Arron > > >
