Fairlight-CMI

Hi Colin,

Any suggestions to what type of HD is best? Will any SCSI drive work?

Well, I'm going to try a few more voices but according to your post then, ALL 
my 3 tapes from Fairlight are down the toilet. I've then only got the voices that 
are currently on the hard disk. I've not been able to get one off any of the 3 
tapes I got with my CMI. 

I know magnetic media is unreliable in the long term, just seems strange that 
all woudl fail at the same time. 

Well...looks like I jump off the deep end and start coming up with my own 
voices via sampling.  Is there a CD, I wonder, that has many if not all the 
original Series III or IIx voice library I could get? I'll have to do some web 
searching.
