Keyboard calibration error.

Keyboard calibration error.

2000-03-17 by charles.johnson@honeywell.com

Hello
I have a VXF-SD that continually fails the keyboard calibration. I've
already hardwired all the keyboard connections as listed on various
web sites. Does anyone have schematics or other information about how
to fix this problem? I would hate to reverse engineer the keyboard
circuit if it is already available. It maybe a bigger problem than
just the keyboard because when the unit fails it gives the option of
recalibrating or ignoring the failure. If I press the softkey
associated with the selection nothing appears to happen. It seems as
though the unit locks up after the keyboard error. Does anyone know
if this is normal? I help would be greatly appreciated.

hi,

I had the same problem a few years back. I searched the internet for
it and found that ensoniq recognised the problem as there were some
problems with the assembled keyboards.

At that particular site (sorry ... I don't recall, but I'll search
for
it again in the hope I'll find it for you) they said you can turn in
your keyboard at the store you bought it and the problem would be
fixed, for free. I made a printout of the website, went to my local
shop and indeed ... I only had to pay the transport-costs, even
though
they didn't want to believe me at the first time.

Just for your information : I've been playing the vfx-sd for exactly
10 years now, had the same problem, got it fixed and haven't suffered
since. And there wasn't any warrant when I got it fixed.

Hope this information doesn't come too late as I just joined the
group.

Sixten

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
