Rhodes Sound

Rhodes Sound

2012-02-05 by stevehath60@gmail.com

Does there exist a Rhodes sound for the VFXsd? I really enjoy it, but don't have the money to go buy a newer keyboard with it.

Thanks

Not at all.
It's just samples of tine like sounds, close to the DX7. It can be very
warm and musical, but don't expect to get something close to the Rhodes.
You should look at the Korg SV1 for that, which is not so expensive ...

pick up any of the old Yamaha DX-7 family of keyboards, and you'll have
an excellent Rhodes sound, and I do mean ANY!! Even the cheap PSR range
of home/plastic keyboards have a great Rhodes in them.

Just a thought.

Cheers

Roger

That's true. I have a cheap Yamaha PSR for playing at home (I also use it as MIDI controller) and I must tell that it's very confortable to play the piano rhodes sound. Nice sound, nice sensivity, enough expression. Not for recording, but it's much enough for home.
