Ensoniq VFX Videos

Ensoniq VFX Videos

2008-05-07 by Xangis

OK, first off, forgive me for not reading the post history and
repeating known info if these videos are available on the 'net
somewhere already, but I'm really excited at the moment. I'm a new
owner of an Ensoniq VFX (and have owned an SQ-80 and ESQ-1 in the
past) and I've won the following VFX-related videos on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170214528193
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170214523784

If anyone has a recommendation for a video capture card that works
with Vista I'd be more than happy to digitize these videos and make
them available on YouTube or one of my own websites.

I'm also the webmaster for SoundProgramming.net, which is a free
synthesizer manual repository. Unfortunately for both me and the site
I haven't found a copy, either digital or paper, of the VFX manual
(though many other Ensoniq models are represented).

It seems that it's a big hole in the world that there's no
widely-available VFX manual on the 'net, so if anyone would be willing
to loan one or direct me to somewhere that one could be purchased at a
reasonable price I'd be more than happy to spend the time to scan a
copy for those less fortunate (or new un-manualled owners).

Cheers,
Xangis

I 'won' these videos from the same seller, but was quite disgusted when I tried to watch them. The copy quality is so poor that the display is completely unreadable, even on a high def TV and good quality VCR, so in order to follow the narrative I have to start and stop through the video while I try to replicate his moves on my own synth. He added the disclaimer to his ebay page about how they are copies after I complained to him.
If you have a readable copy and can put it on Youtube or your site, that would be GREAT!
