needing some midi info

2000-12-14 by dragonheart94@aol.com

I have a VFXsd and would like to know how do you put your
setting if i want to play a roland MC-505 groovebox through it
without the groovebox using the VFXds's sound but using it's own
internal sounds and groove's.im am trying to record drum beats and
bass rythm's onto my vfx is this possible ???? .as you can tell i
know nothing about midi and need some help if you have the time thanx.

If I understand right, you basically mean you want to use the keyboard to
trigger MIDI, and not its own local notes. In this case, hit the MIDI
button and you should see a page of 3 patch names, with 'STAT' at the
right left, and something like 'BOTH' underneath each patch name, the
currently selected patches will be underlined on the name, press the soft
button underneath the patch thats underlined, and press the up/down buttons
until it reads MIDI or *EXT* and the local sounds will be turned off
