Click
on MIDI, which gives you the STAT page (shown on upper left hand
corner) and set it from BOTH or LOCAL to MIDI. If needed double click
to get to the CHAN page for the MIDI channel. You can do 3 on the Presets
or up to 12 on the Sequencer, and/or layer accordingly by double clicking the
patches.

I have a VFX-SD and a PC running FL Studio 9. The MIDI out on the VFX is connected to the MIDI in on the PC, and the MIDI in on the PC is connected to the MIDI out on the VFX.
Essentially I want to use the keyboard on the VFX as a MIDI controller for my DAW while controlling the synth part *from* my DAW. This is working except the keyboard on the VFX still triggers its local sounds, which I want to disable. I imagine this is possible, but so far the only way I can figure this out is in the preset settings, which just resets whenever I change patches.
Hopefully I'm not being too incoherent. Can anyone help me with this?
