Patches and discussion for Ensoniq VFX family

Hello everyone,
I just got back from a local music store and picked up an old used 
VFX synth. No manual, no disk drive, no nothing except a little 
cartridge with some cool sounds. After a few hours of playing around 
with it I realized it's going to take me a long time to figure this 
synth out, so here are some questions:

1.-how do I install the disk drive? (or where can I get it done?)
2.-Is there anywhere I can find resources for the synth, and maybe 
even an online instruction manual?
3.-are the rumors of this synth having a horrible curse on it true?
4.-how do I get sounds from my computer into the synth?
5.-What do I have to do before I statt using it? (upgrading, patches, 
bla bla).

Any help would be greatly apreciated. This is my second synth, and 
the only one I currently use, (the other one was a very simple knob 
twisting synth). There's just so much I've got to learn...
