Hi all;

I have an A-127 triple resonance filter ,only used a couple of times,mint 
that I would like to trade for the A-104 Formant filter.

Very serious person ,lots of refences available.

have a kind of swaps board.  I mentioned a while back that i wouldnt mind
exchanging my A129 1/2 for other modules, and now Hans has expressed his
desire to swap his A127.

In light of this, ive knocked up a quick web page, that id like to think
could encorage swapping.  It surely must be a good idea: not many of us must
have all the modules, and also a lot of us must have modules that we use
less than we should.

What are peoples thoughts on this?  If its a popular idea, then ill do the
page properly, with cgi, so ppl can add and remove their own stuff.

Don't want to rain on anyones parade since I totally fell that I have one or
two modules I would gladly swap but swapping internationally just isn't
practical. Say the module costs like 8euros new, seconds hand 4-5 euro. Just
the shipping to send if from say England to Sweden would be about 3-4 Euros.
Then the hazard of one turning up mangled by shipping, people getting pissed
off... No - not worth it for me. Sorry

half of the rest of the world it would be £4.95.

Sorry... A zero slipped out here, but still the miscalculation also almost
applies to the shipping costs...  It should be like 80 euro for a module,
about 20-30 for international shipping and the secondhand prices about half
of the new price that is 40. The bottom line still goes for me that it is to
small a "profit" to make up for the potential hassle. Sad but true - I
rather just buy a new module and put the unused one in a box.

Well as you seem to live in England I guess you are right about the from
part, but that also implies that I have been horrendously overcharged but
UK-firms for various items. From Sweden to UK I last time paid £22 for a
shoebox containing some leads and a book... 2,5 kilos if my memory serves
me. Perhaps shipping is just insane in Sweden and you are 100% correct that
I don't do much shipping, do you blame me? =)

So even if shipping fees possibly varies a lot in europe it still isn't my
only gripe against such endeavours. I have been around lot enough on the web
to have experienced all sorts of badmouthing ranging from "it was in good
condition when it left my doorstep" to "Mister so and so sends you a brick
in a box don't deal with him". So I won't do it for just a module or two.
Not saying that other shouldn't, but a fair warning is in due place.

If you like making cgi's go ahead, but I would be quite surpriced if many
actually swaps will be made. On the other hand who cares? There are millions
of zero traffic websites without even a good purpose and the intention is
good.

If you have modules you dont use, you simply have 3 options:

a) use them

b) dont use them + keep them

c) get rid of them

2 of these options are worthy.  if you dont start using the module you only
have one option left.

regardless of if you sell or swap it, whats the likely hood of finding
someone who wants it, and also lives close enough to actually come round and
pick it up?  pretty much zero i think.

If you use escrow and COD, then trust isnt really an issue either, however,
these services obviously put up the price.

So, risk can be made such as it is of little consequence for a relativly
small price, and, cost of shipping, as discussed before, is also of little
consequence.

Id be supprised if many people want to swap stuff.  The fact however
remains: its all quite feasible, should the desire be there.

a bit off topic i guess, but i thought this the best place to ask...

problem:

i want to generate two gate (trigger) signals on two outputs (11 and 12)
that both use the same midi channel (12) but on different notes (say c3 for
output 11 and c3# for output 12)

im setting the midi channel, then from and to notes to c3,c3 and c#3,c#3
respectivly.  trigger mode: direct, and then routing the trigger back to
whatever output im editing.

i cant seem to sepperate the outputs to respond individually, they both
respond to any signal on midi channel12

can someone who knows the unit better then me give me some advice please?
im convinced it must be possible, i just cant work out how.

if your looking for stuff for swaps, do you want to put whatever youve got
that your not so keen on up also?  i dont know (and im not the one to say
really) if people will just be scouting for second hand stuff to buy, or be
more into the idea of swapping.  id kinda hope the latter, but i dont know
it it makes that much difference really?  there are a whole load of forsale
boards about though..... (comments?)

itlld be nice for the board to gain mass, and hence traffic, as then it
would be more successfull for those posting swaps there.
