john,
i started with a "bs1" and a second frame 1/2 filled with c.v. modules -
seq., theremin controllers, etc. knowing it would be nearly a year before i
could approach a "round 2" purchase. second year, i got a third frame 1/2
filled with audio modules. spent the intervening time filling those ( and
getting other modules from other manufacturers ). just got 4th frame before
christmas and i already know what i want to finish it off with. currently
looking way into the future ( late this year / early next year ) towards #5 !
enjoy !
best,
dave

LOL! Perhaps they should stick a warning on each module, a la
cigarettes: "buying Doepfer modules is addictive and may harm your
bank balance"

I too have also just succumbed to the 4th G6, which with the 155 and
the few other modules that came with it, is damn near half full
already. I did a lot of soul searching before I did, not least
because of the extra space it would take up - I've now made up a
second 'rack' (a hacked-up Homebase shelf unit), so unfortunately
there is now ample space for a 5th, and then a 6th... Before I bought
it, in an idle moment I added up the width of all the modules I
didn't have, and was aghast to discover it was *another* 4 G6's over
and above the 3 I then had. Erk.

Such fun.

Tim

If you'll please permit me to expand on that slightly. There should
have been a warning label on my FIRST synthesizer I bought years ago
that read: "Warning: Making the decision to become a synthesist is
addictive and may harm your bank balance!" :)

Goodness knows I've had this gear buying problem long before now.
I'm still trying to figure out where to put this thing when it gets
here.

I directly blame Bob Moog for this!

Kindest regards,
John
