Doepfer

Hello.

As I get closer to my A100 system purchase, I  am a bit concerned 
that the prices at Enport U.S. are about 30% higher than buying 
direct from Doepfer in Germany.  I realize there will be some 
additional import costs but I'm not clear if 30% is the average 
norm.  I've purchased Doepfer gear from Enport before, but nothing as 
expensive as the A100 system I've tentatively configured (thanks to 
all the great advice from the group) so now the price difference is 
more substantial.

Has anyone else in the U.S. purchased their Doepfer system from 
Enport?  Has anyone purchased directly from Germany and had the 
product shipped to the U.S.?  What was the experience?  What caveats 
are there should I pursue this route?

I've purchased a quite bit of Doepfer stuff from Enport.  I asked 
Doug why the sharp price hike, and he said that he held off raising 
price for a while now, but with the current exchange rate of the 
Euro, and import fees, he'd be losing money if he didn't raise the 
prices.

In spite of not want to pay a higher price this month for the same 
modules I purchased last month, I understand that Doug needs to eat 
like the rest of us.
