A113 - 5V version or not?

2015-11-17 by David Kellett

Hi,

Just a quick question. I have just received my new A113 from EMIS in the uk. Do I assume it is a non 5V one? How can I tell?

The two versions can be distinguished by means of the bus connection cable: old version = 16 wires, new version = 10 wires.
Only if it's equipped with a 16 pin ribbon cable an external 5V supply is required.

Best wishes

Thanks Dieter. I shall have a look tomorrow and then I'll know. I can't actually play with the new modules for a few days as I'm building a table / shelf thing to sit the Monster Base and two PMS12s on. Then there will be some great sounds again in my studio :-)
