Timing Capacitor Mod

2015-08-20 by a11@live.nl

Hi to you all,

Who knows, if the attack will become shorter too, when decreasing C2 of A-140 ADSR.

I have a 47nF capacitor to do that; would that be okay for that?

"A-140: Timing capacitor (short range): C2
Standard value: 100nF = 0.1uF (foil/mylar)
Polarity: none"

I also wondering what the practical effect is, when decreasing C6 of A-119.

I mean, what/where is going to smooth?

"A-119: Timing (smoothing) capacitors for
envelope follower: C6
Standard value: 100 nF = 0,1uF (foil/mylar)
Polarity: none "

Thanks in advance for your answer .

yes, all time parameters (A,D,R) will be reduced by the same percentage.

This would divide all times by about 2

decreasing > less smooth (higher frequency of the simple low pass)
increasing > more smooth (lower frequency of the simple low pass)

Yes, I succeeded to change the A-140 C2 today.

And I'm satisfied with it, for I have two A-140's, but now they differ in short attack behavior, for I only change one of them, hihihi .....

I think, that I leave the A-119 C6 like it is.

Thanks again, Dieter, for assistance.
