BS2 Repair

2014-03-15 by pierre.bouvret@gmail.com

Hi

I bought a BS2 some months ago and there has been a problem with the A190 Midi / CV interface.
The webshop where I bought it tells me to send back the whole rack for only one module !
Of course, by the time, I bought a few other cases and the former modules of my BS2 are now dispatched
in those cases. I also bought some new modules in some other shops and they are now in my BS2. Everyday life of the noodleist I guess.

By the way, everything else is going fine ...

Are they right ?
What should I do ?

Obviously, what they want is impractical.

I don't see any reason why someone could not repair or replace an
individual module. If under warranty, then the web shop is on the hook.

Any problems, contact Doepfer directly!

It would be interesting whether this is really only a webshop or whether
it is a normal instruments dealer too. Web-only shops work with
insurances, which cover the costs for warranty replacements. The shop
announces each sold good to the insurance, and if they want the money
from the insurance, they have to claim back the announced item from the
customer.

I'd contact Doepfer sales directly, if this shop is a contracted seller,
then I think they will manage it.
